The Challenge: Restricting access to stock
Our customer's primary challenges included the need for real-time monitoring of stock items, secure access control to restricted areas, and a seamless integration of security systems. Additionally, the customer wanted to enhance their fire safety protocols by automating door release mechanisms in case of emergencies.
The Solution: A Tailored Access Control System
To address the customer’s requirements comprehensively, we designed and implemented a tailored solution incorporating advanced access control and CCTV systems.
Access Control System:
- We installed an access control system on the cage door, featuring a tag reader and magnetic locks. This system allowed only authorised personnel issued with a designated tag to access the restricted area containing specific stock items.
- The access control system provides an event log detailing who accesses the area and when enhancing accountability and traceability.
CCTV Integration:
- An IP CCTV camera was strategically placed and connected to the main CCTV system. This provided 24-hour monitoring, creating an additional layer of security for the stock control area.
- The integration of the CCTV system serves as a deterrent to potential security threats and provides comprehensive surveillance and recording capabilities.
Fire Alarm Integration:
- We also integrated the access control system with the fire alarm. Should a fire be detected, the system would automatically release the door locks, ensuring a swift and easy exit for anyone inside the restricted area.
By implementing a tailored solution that combined advanced access control, CCTV integration, and fire safety automation, we met and exceeded the customer's expectations, providing a comprehensive and future-proof solution for their business needs.
